My parents, Ronald & Edna Mills ran the Black Horse during the 60's and early 70's

'Mum & Dad in Pub' was taken from a small publicity card about the size of a book of matches.

'Mum & Amber' photo was taken in the garden behind the pub and showing the hall.

'Those Eggs' was taken in the hall in the Black Horse car park, circa 1967 / 1968

'Triumph Herald' photo was also in car park, the two buildings in the background were to the right of the entrance into the car park and may have been the stables owned by the Jackson family who used to live in 'Dovecot Cottage'.

06.08.2006 Please convey my regards to Mr Paul Mills and inform him that in the photo in the website entitled 'TRIUMPH HERALD'
The building in the back ground is in fact the "Jackson Brothers Hatchery"
and the Chimney was the boiler room which provided the hot water for the 12 chicken Incubators in the hatchery.

Best regards Michael & Ann Jackson.
(Former residents of the Dovecote)
