Village
History on CD-ROM Sold in Support of The Friends of Fowlmere School
The
history of Fowlmere from the earliest times to present day, is now available on
a CD-ROM. It is called Bird Lake Village-A History of Fowlmere, South Cambridgeshire, and
it contains over 500 pages of fascinating facts, drawings, diagrams and
photographs charting the life and development of our village right through to
the start of the 21st Century. It
provides a wealth of absorbing information, and it is fun to try to find family
and friends in the many photographs.
A
second CD-ROM called A Wildlife Oasis, details
the history, the flora and fauna, and the activities of Fowlmere’s wonderful
RSPB Nature Reserve. It has been
produced to celebrate the reserve’s silver jubilee.
Both
CD-ROMs have been compiled by Les Price, who is generously donating all proceeds
from the sales to the Friends of Fowlmere School Building Development Fund. The
Friends are very grateful to Les for his generosity.
At just £5 each, these CD-ROMS represent excellent value, hours of entertainment, and perfect presents. Get yours at The Post Office, now!
