A PENSIONER worried a vital bus service will be axed if funding is cut is calling on people to help save it.

Russell Wigg, of Champions Close in Fowlmere, regularly uses the 31 bus, which runs from Barley to Cambridge, taking in villages including Fowlmere and Thriplow, as well as Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

A “wildlife haven” could be under threat if plans to expand an international manufacturing firm get the go ahead in a South Cambridgeshire village.

Ion Science in Fowlmere are proposing to submit a planning application for a new 1,500 square metre building on land off Butts Lane, as their current site is “bursting at the seams”.

Uber FAST Broadband for Cambridgeshire

Good news! Cambridgeshire County Council has today signed the contract with BT that means our businesses and communities will have some of the best fibre broadband coverage in the country by the end of 2015.

The next step is to undertake detailed planning work with BT to draw up the roll-out plans. Once we’ve worked this through we will be able to publicise more details.

Foxton Skatepark needs your help in February.

The fund raising committee for the Foxon skatepark project have just been chosen as one of the charities Waitrose in Trumpington will support with their green token scheme.
It will run from 1st February for the whole month. £1,000 is split between 3 charities, of which the skate park is to be one.
