Traffic concerns raised over ‘huge’ agricultural event in Chrishall

Posted by:

Residents are “up in arms” after plans have been announced for more than 25,000 people to descend on a village for a two-day agriculture event.

County Cllr Peter Topping says residents are concerned cars and landrovers will cause grid lock traffic around the site at Chrishall Grange, near Duxford.

The Cereals Event is a technical event for the UK arable industry with hundreds of stands and live demonstrations.

Cllr Topping, who represents Duxford, Fowlmere, Thriplow and Ickleton, said: “A lot of the villagers are very concerned that traffic instructions direct people through their villages but there’s been no discussion with them.
